Senate Candidate 5

Today, I wrote about the allegation against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich that he tried to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.

One of the candidates for the seat was referred to in the criminal complaint as Senate Candidate 5. His emissaries supposedly offered up to $1 million to the governor.

Today ABC News reports that Candidate 5 is Jesse Jackson Jr.

Jackson denies authorizing any exchange.
