What does this mean for other pro-choice politicians?
From the Associated Press:
NY cardinal criticizes Giuliani for taking Communion
NEW YORK (AP) — New York Cardinal Edward Egan says Rudy Giuliani should not have received Holy Communion during the pope’s visit because he supports abortion rights.
Egan says he had “an understanding” with the former presidential candidate and New York mayor that he is not to receive the Eucharist. The Catholic Church teaches “that abortion is a grave offense against the will of God.”
The cardinal says Giuliani broke that understanding when he received the Eucharist during Pope Benedict XVI’s visit.
Egan says he will be seeking a meeting with Giuliani “to insist that he abide by our understanding.”
Giuliani’s spokesman said Monday she is preparing a response.

Nonsense. Guiliani is catholic and has gone through the sacrements. and therefore is allowed to receive communion. The whole ex-communication if you are divorced was done and over with in the 70’s.
This is hypocrisy to a typical catholic level. How bout when Bill Clinton was President. and received Communion in St. Pats?!
He isnt even Catholic.. where was egan then????? This is why i keep the tenants of the faith. because man just sux.
all the faiths same the same thing and its all the same “god” but man has to say his god is better than yours.
bah..

You use to contribute on Alison Berts blog I believe. This gal Noreen dosen’t have the folowing that Alison did. Why? because she must not care, you never see her respone to your’s or my post’s or anyone else’s post’s. I miss mixing it up on Alison’s blog! I wonder how we can get more people to have that forum back. I myself posted so mant how to’s and how to help people in need. This is nothing like we had with Alison. It was cool to agree to disagree there!
