Dousing fires with Katrina water

November
30

The comedian Chris Rock introduced Sen. Barack Obama at The Apollo last night and took one of the night’s funniest jabs at Sen. Hillary Clinton.

He imagined Obama winning and…

“You’d be real embarrassed if he won and you wasn’t down with him,” Rock said.

“I can’t call him now.”

“I had that white lady. What was I thinking? What was I thinking?”

But mostly he went after President Bush.

“In a way, Bush’s presidency has been success,” he said. “Cause he hasn’t let us down at all. It’s everything we thought it was going to be and worse. It’s like a horror movie.”

And..

“The fires in LA. He was there the next day. White people burning, he’s there, quick. Black people drowning, no time. He was in California so fast, he was helping them out. He was putting out fires with Katrina water.”
